Quality Warranty Engineer

About the role

The Quality Warranty Engineer is responsible for monitoring field warranty claims, analysing failure parts, and defining liability with customers. The role acts as a bridge between OEMs, dealers, end‑users and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate warranty handling.

Key responsibilities

• Detect field claim spikes using the Early Warning procedure and generate red‑flag alerts by the 15th of each month.
• Link VIM with red‑flag cases within 48 hours to secure the correct parts for analysis.
• Monitor 3MIS claims across all categories and verify the effectiveness of containment actions.
• Maintain customer part numbers in the WINGS system to ensure compliance with product hierarchy.
• Secure warranty return samples and follow Valeo’s warranty part analysis and QRQC procedures.
• Interface with OEM quality teams, dealers and end‑users to collect detailed field data and present liability assessments.
• Perform statistical analysis of warranty data, identify risks and communicate findings to cross‑functional teams.
• Apply QRQC methodology to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret warranty data and draw actionable conclusions.
• Excellent cross‑functional communication skills to interact with OEMs, dealers and internal stakeholders.
• Proactive attitude for risk escalation and solution implementation.
• Detail‑oriented approach to ensure compliance with warranty procedures and timelines.
