Medical Administrative Assistant

About the role

The Medical Administrative Assistant will support the Migration Health Division of IOM Tunisia by handling administrative, logistical, and data‑management tasks. Working under the Chief of Mission and senior project staff, the role ensures smooth implementation of health projects for vulnerable migrants.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with project administration and logistics in line with IOM standards and donor requirements.
• Track financial resources, assets, medication stocks, and supplies; prepare purchase requests and manage petty‑cash for medical referrals using the Online Invoice Payable App (OIPA).
• Organise outreach health events, handle venue logistics and participant coordination.
• Compile medical case reports, maintain beneficiary files, and generate statistical reports while respecting data‑protection policies.
• Enter and update beneficiary information in MiMosa, MHD Kobo tracker, and related donor matrices.
• Distribute appointment schedules, verify data accuracy, and liaise with medical teams and other units for referrals.
• Contact beneficiaries to confirm appointments and perform any additional duties assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field with at least two years of relevant experience, OR high‑school diploma with four years of experience.
• Experience with medical office management systems and strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially Excel.
• Previous work with international humanitarian or governmental organisations is an advantage.
• Fluency in Arabic and French; good knowledge of English is desirable.
