Logistics Specialist

About the role

As part of the ongoing development of the Order‑to‑Cash (OTC) organization, we are seeking a Logistics Specialist to strengthen and professionalise our logistics operations. The role will support the transformation toward more direct, efficient and transparent supplier‑to‑plant and plant‑to‑customer flows, ensuring reliable execution from inbound shipments to outbound delivery of finished goods.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor inbound shipments from suppliers and outbound shipments to customers.
• Communicate with suppliers, customers and transport partners about shipment readiness, transport requirements and delivery schedules.
• Select and organise appropriate transport solutions based on urgency, volume and cost.
• Track shipments from dispatch to receipt, proactively addressing delays or deviations.
• Support the development of direct supplier‑to‑plant and plant‑to‑customer logistics flows and identify opportunities to improve lead times, transport efficiency and overall logistics costs.
• Maintain reliable logistics processes and standards, and coach team members in daily activities.
• Ensure customs and logistics documentation is complete, accurate and available on time; coordinate with customs brokers, transport companies and authorities when required.
• Act as a key logistics interface within the Order‑to‑Cash process, collaborating with Customer Care, MRP, Purchasing, Warehouse, Production and Finance.
• Analyse recurring logistics issues and contribute to sustainable solutions and continuous improvement of processes.
