About the role
During the Summer 2026 internship you will work on refactoring the front‑end of a clock configuration application at STMicroelectronics. You will help design and implement key UI features and proof‑of‑concepts, improving responsiveness, maintainability and overall user experience.
Key responsibilities
- Refactor the existing GLSP‑based front‑end to a modern React architecture.
- Implement UI components and integration features using JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Enhance application responsiveness and code maintainability.
- Collaborate on REST API and event‑based communication with backend services.
- Explore and use graph/diagram libraries such as React Flow.
- Document work in English (code comments, GitHub issues, technical docs).
Required profile
- Currently enrolled in a Software Engineering degree or equivalent.
- Fluent in English (technical documentation and communication).
- French language skills are a plus.
- Motivation to work on front‑end development in a collaborative team.
Required skills
- JavaScript and TypeScript.
- React and modern front‑end development practices.
- Familiarity with React Flow or similar graph/diagram libraries.
- Understanding of frontend‑backend communication (REST APIs, messaging, event‑based interaction).
- Knowledge of UI state management and component‑based architecture.
- Basic grasp of software refactoring and code maintainability.
