Data Engineer – CORE Product (Tunisia)

About the role

The Data Engineer (CORE Product Focus) will design, build, and operate data pipelines, models, and data products that power Cedar Rose’s CORE product. This delivery‑focused role translates business requirements into reliable data assets, ensuring trusted, timely, and well‑structured data for product features, analytics, and downstream consumption.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines that feed CORE product datasets and features.
• Translate product requirements into reliable data outputs, including schemas, transformations, and business rules.
• Ensure data availability, freshness, and accuracy for CORE consumers.
• Document CORE datasets with definitions, lineage, and usage guidance.
• Design and maintain curated data models aligned to CORE domain concepts.
• Standardize naming conventions, keys, and reference data.
• Implement transformation logic with focus on correctness, performance, and maintainability.
• Monitor pipelines, investigate incidents, and implement permanent fixes.
• Implement data quality checks, alerting, and improve runtime performance.
• Support incremental loads, change tracking, and historical data where required.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience building production data pipelines and curated datasets.
• Solid understanding of legacy data platforms and integration patterns.
• Expertise in SQL and data troubleshooting, including root‑cause analysis and performance tuning.
• Experience with data modeling and transforming messy real‑world datasets into product‑ready outputs.
• Practical experience operating pipelines: monitoring, incident response, and documentation.
• Ability to work with ambiguous requirements and convert them into clear technical deliverables.
